slinkachu
Slinkachu is a photographer who works with small models in the real world. He is renowned for his project little people. He uses the process of scenes with painted train model figures. Slinkachu normally works on the streets of London. He often says that he uses models to make city dwellers notice there surroundings more. This is because busy people often don't notice how impressive buildings are.
Slinkachu expresses that his passion for small things started off when his father made him a train set as a small boy. He has now been sharing his love for small things with the world for 6 years now. He mainly works on the streets of London. When in London Slinkachu has a trademark. He leaves his people behind. so if you're in London you might see a piece of work.
This image incorporates a level of humor. Slinkachu allows the walkway to look like the ocean. He appears to have cut a model yacht in half to give the appearance of it sinking into the walkway. The scene only uses 2 model people however this doesn't take anything away from the image. Slinkachu also uses a little bit of aperture on this photo probably from around f:4 to about F:5 in aperture.
I think Slinkachu has created this image because its humorous. Its simple, fun and playful. Also I think he chose this scene due to its location, it plays on the stereotypical rich middle eastern 25-35 year old. Slinkachu only uses 2 model people I think this is because he doesn't want to overcrowd the scene which would look messy.
I think this image will influence me by getting me to incorporate humor, stop overcrowding and make my images simple which appears most effective in slinkachu's work.

Slinkachu Examples
These are my favorite examples of Slinkachu's work
First Shoot
To improve my first shoot I need to increase the quantity. Without quantity I cannot experiment with ideas and further exploration into the contrast between the big and small world. This is because these photos may be of good quality but I require more to higher my grade.
How to improve
To improve I need to make the Toy Soldiers look like their interacting, also I need to increase the number of images. Furthermore instead of editing the soldier in I should keep it real. Maybe I should try using more figures.
Second Shoot
For this shoot I used a mixture of Halo figures and normal Lego figures, for my next shoots I should try and create a narrative/scene for the figures to fit in. Also by keeping the figures the same it looks more clean and tidy.
SHOOT 3-RC BOATS
For this shoot I visited the harbor side in Bristol, I decided to photograph a semi-pro RC Boat race. I think this shoot went well because I could experiment with moving objects. Due to the fact it was sunny and these boats where moving very fast my shutter speed was 1/4000 which stopped over exposure and ISO 100 meaning the sensor was less sensitive to the brightness.
shoot 4 - halo figures
For this shoot I tied a Halo figure to a pair of balloons and created a narrative of them floating away. I tied the man to different places on the balloon. I had to try inside and out, inside I was fine because I could retrieve the balloon however outside the second I went out side I had to battle the wind and tie the balloon down. Due to it being so windy a had to rush to all sides of the balloon to stop my house or fence getting in the shot.
